School Selection PRocess
School Selection PRocess
Each year the School District of Philadelphia accepts online applications for the School Selection Process from September to November.
The School Selection Process is an online application process for students and families who wish to apply to a district school outside of their neighborhood boundaries for admission into grades K-12. It is also for 8th graders who wish to apply for High School.
This process takes place from September to November, the year before your child will be entering the school.

Ms. Cocca, our school counselor, provides a variety of services to meet student, family and community needs.
The School Counselor services include direct and indirect services. Direct services apply to the direct support and development of the social/emotional, academic and college/career domains of each student. Indirect Services apply to supportive and collaborative services.

Do you have a rising 8th grader? Ms. Cocca will contact all 8th grade families in the fall and set up a meeting to discuss High School Applications with students.
Each year, the Philly High School Fair is held to help students and families explore high school options!
The Fair is free to attend and held at the Convention Center on Arch Street in the Fall.
LEAP: Literacy Enrichment After-sChool Program
LEAP: Literacy Enrichment After-sChool Program
The Literacy Enrichment After-school Program (LEAP) provides homework assistance, computer literacy, and library skills for students in grades K-12, and daily literacy enrichment activities for elementary school students. LEAP operates after school at a variety of Free Library neighborhood libraries and Parkway Central Library.
LEAP activities and programs promote traditional literacy as well as literacy in science, technology, and cultural arts. LEAP also introduces students to the many Library resources and materials that are available, free of charge, to help them with school assignments, applying to college, and eventually securing meaningful employment. In addition to encouraging academic achievement, LEAP also fosters a safe and supportive, non-judgmental zone for children and teens.
